How Long Before You Were Back To Work After Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery?
I had surgery 8 days ago and I am still not feeling excellent and very sore. I have a pretty labor intensive job, and I wanted to know how long it took others who have had the same surgery to return to work. I know if you have a desk job, its simpler to go back sooner.

In a study of hospital errors during surgery conducted by the Boston Globe, the spine was identified as the area most likely to be involved. The report found that there had been 11 surgeries conducted at the incorrect level of the spine since 2006. The operations often involved fusion surgery conducted at the incorrect level. “While it would be a clear departure from the standard of care to operate at the incorrect level of the spine, there are more reasons – perhaps not excellent reasons – why that could happen,” said Marc L. Breakstone, a Boston Medical Malpractice Attorney currently representing a client who sued over a spine operation performed earlier this decade. “But it’s still inexcusable; it shouldn’t happen.” Boston Globe, July 30, 2008.

Surgery is commonly used as a treatment for degenerative spondylolisthesis with spinal stenosis. There has been controversy regarding it’s effectiveness in comparison with non-surgical methods.
