What Do You Do For Horse Arthritis?

My horse has arthritis in his left front leg. Its my quarter horse gelding Doc, he is 12 years ancient, and is believed to have pick this up from barrel racing in his younger years. We really don’t have any thought of where to start with it, because I have been told so many things, really I just need one really excellent thought, on how to help out my horse, and decrease the pain.
