    Here’s what I did.
Materials needed: heat pack, ice pack, and a dowel (broom handle) about 3 feet long.
    1. Apply heat packs to your shoulder for 4 – 5 minutes.
    2. Immediately after apply ice packs for 4 – 5 minutes
    3. After that lie on your back and hold the ends of the dowel in the palm of your hands. (The palms facing each other) With your arms straight at your side, slowly raise them until they point to the ceiling. Slowly lower them back down to your side. Do this about 25 times 2 – 3 times a day if possible.
(NO NOT ALLOW YOUR ARM TO GO BACK OVER YOUR HEAD BECAUSE THIS WILL DO HURT)
This is what a physiotherapist perscribed for me and it worked.
    Excellent Luck!

You don’t say if you have RA or OA..but I know that both make inflammation in joints. I would highly recommend using ActiPatch to reduce inflammation and pain without the use of drugs. I am an avid biker/hiker in my 40’s…the ancient knees are feeling my age. I use ActiPatch post riding and it works fantastic.

go to a doctor that specializes in the treatment of ARTHRITIS. you need some NSAID’s and i would suggest lortab 10/325 or percocet 10/325 for pain. If the pain is really terrible i would suggest Oxycontin IR 5 or 10mg.
