Talk with your physician. Keep in mind that most rides tell you not to ride if you have back/spine issues. Heed them!
I ride roller coasters that are smooth, but avoid anything jerky and rough. That means I avoid most things at traveling fairs and talk with ride operators at amusement parks about rides’ roughness.

I don’t agree with what anyone else is saying… I had a brace when I was 8 years ancient, and I did everything that I used to do. It didn’t stop me. My doctor told me the same thing. I had the back surgery, my spine fused and rods place in, and I was riding rollercoasters a year later. (The doc does tell you not to do anything that is jarring to the spine such as riding a horse or jet skiing) Don’t listen to what anyone else says, it will not make your back WORSE. It may hurt a small bit afterwards, from being jerked around a small bit, but you know your limits. If it is hurting after a few rides, then don’t go on them anymore! If anything your brace will support you even more, and now allow you to be jerked around as much!

Wearing your brace is probably the best thing. If you are going to go wear the brace….but look at how much whipping and rocking there is in the ride….it mimicks the actions that cause whiplash.
