I Have Scoliosis And A Really Bad Sciatic Nerve, Can I Still Horseback Ride?

My lower back kills me, and i really have no flexibility with it. Recently i signed up to take horseback riding lessons because ive always wanted to. But now im thinking about my back pain and if it will affect me riding.
Will it hurt a lot more? or would it really get a small better?

If your back kills you during everyday activities, do you really want to get into an activity that has you bouncing onto a relatively hard surface (the saddle)?
I don’t know if it will hurt alot more, but if I were to take a guess, I’d say yes. I know horseback riding is something I was told to never do after my fusion. Although you haven’t had a fusion, its probably better to keep riding horses on your “I’d be crazy to do this” list.

I also had a fusion 3 years ago and still suffer. Horseriding is the last thing I would reckon of doing. I reckon you are going to harm yourself if you do. The toughest thing about it is realizing the things you can no longer do
