Should I tell my boyfriend of 4 weeks about me having to wear a brace?
I’m just nervous that he will laugh, or even worse…break up with me. I despise keeping it a secret from him but I don’t know how to tell him.

i have a brace to. definetely tell him. ive told guys about it and they pretty much feel terrible for me i reckon, but i dont want them to. you should tell him though because hes going to see/feel it, most likely. its not that terrible dont worry, but tell him. a excellent guy will try his best to make you feel better about it.

Well, if he hasn’t noticed it yet he’s going to find out as soon as he hugs you. I went to a small high school, everyone knew everyone’s business, so I never had to tell anyone. I had friends and boyfriends through out high school even being in a brace and body cast for half of it.
You have to have a strong sense of self and not let it mess with your thought of body image. It’s clunky and you don’t look/feel like everyone else, but keep in mind why you are wearing it. You want to keep your body as healthy as you can and try to right your back.
If he laughs at you or breaks up with you over this, then he isn’t worth it.
dont worry about it i mean come on its just for scoliosis!! there is nothing that you should worry about and if he laughs than thats his problem!! i mean come on there is nothing incorrect with having to wear one and its for your back so i would just tell him and i reckon that he wont care, i feel like he would rather see you ok than having a problem with your back!! if hes worth it than i have to say that he would want to see you ok than laugh in your face!!
