What Is A Scoliosis Surgery Like?
I have recently in the last week heard I need a surgery on my Spine, it is a spinal fusion surgery, I heard the doctor mention wires, 4 screws hip marrow, and maybe a metal rod. I am only 13 nearly 14 and am frightened out of my mind. Does anyone have any suggestions… Tips… anything to tell me what getting place asleep and recovery hospital and home is like. Oh my curve right now is 43 degrees and my spine is slowly progressing towards my organs and ribs, surgery is urgent.
I Would Like Some Information On Scoliosis In Children?
My son who is ten years ancient has been diagnosed with scoliosis and a misshapen pelvis. I am trying without success to get him an appointment with an orthopedic doctor, it seems to be taking awhile.
The doctor told me that it is unusual that it has started so young. You can already see it in the way that he walks and holds himself. Should I be concerned? What steps should I be taking? Should he be doing certain exercises?
