How Long Before You Were Back To Work After Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery?
I had surgery 8 days ago and I am still not feeling excellent and very sore. I have a pretty labor intensive job, and I wanted to know how long it took others who have had the same surgery to return to work. I know if you have a desk job, its simpler to go back sooner.
Looking For Information On Piriformis And Nerve Entrapment Release Surgery?
I am a 35 year ancient male in decent physical shape, and I have been suffering from piriformis syndrome for nearly a year and a half, and a recent neurography has revealed entrapment of the sciatic nerve at the piriformis level and near the quadratus femoris. I have tried virtually everything — physical therapy, stretching, acupuncure, massages, meds, etc. I am under heavy pain meds which don’t even do much to relieve the condition. The pain has literally taken over my life, as I am unable to sit for very long, cannot focus or exercise, etc. I recently saw a neurosurgeon, who after unsuccessfully injecting cortisone, botox and anti-scarring medications into the muscles, want to perform surgery to release the sciatic nerve at the piriformis level and lower down buttock at the the level of the quadratus femoris. Has anyone out there had this surgery and if so what was the outcome, side effects, recovery time, etc? Thank you!
Can Surgery Resolve A Torn Hip Tendon, And How Long Does It Take To Heal Post-op?
I’ve been diagnosed with 2 torn tendons: distal obturator internus and inferior gemellus. I also have tendinitis of the piriformis tendon and tendinosis of the gluteous medius tendon. This has been going on for over 18 months, and I suspect that the scar tissue has been building up also. Would surgery help me? My rhuematologist thought so but the ortho doc refused treatment. Should I get a second opinion?
